Romero’s double rounded off a rampant 11-minute first half demolition after Laurent Ciman opened the scoring, before Dilly Duka cancelled out Devon Sandoval’s effort to secure Impact’s first win.

There was another first at the Citrus Bowl, as Orlando City secured a maiden home win against LA Galaxy.

Eric Avila and Cyle Larin struck in the first half, before Kaka won and scored a penalty and Darwin Ceren struck to condemn Galaxy to a 4-0 defeat.

Philadelphia Union pulled off another shock result, as homegrown talent Zach Pfeffer scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner against D.C. United.
