Stat-Attack: MLS Week 11

A third of the way through the regular season the Eastern Conference is floundering while the West is shaping up to produce the tightest campaign in MLS history.

After D.C. United took the lead in the Supporters’ Shield race on Wednesday night, here are all the key numbers ahead of Week 11...

Dempsey and Martins are on fire for Seattle

0 – Montreal Impact are the only side without a win this season, but the home side have won every game when Montreal and Real Salt Lake meet.

1 – Only one of Seattle Sounders’ 15 goals haven’t been scored or assisted by Clint Dempsey or Obafemi Martins.

2 – Despite being bottom of the Western Conference, Colorado Rapids have lost fewer games, 2, than Vancouver Whitecaps, 3, who are top.

3 – Toronto lost all three of their fixtures with New England Revolution last season.

4 – San Jose Earthquakes and Columbus Crew have drawn their last four meetings, the past three have ended 1-1.

5 – Vancouver Whitecaps are on a five-match unbeaten run against their Cascadia Cup rivals Seattle Sounders – they have won the last two.

6 – New York City’s four-game losing streak is two matches short of the all-time record for an expansion side – Miami Fusion lost six in a row in 1998.

8 – New England Revolution are currently on an eight-game unbeaten run, six wins and two draws – it is the club’s longest in the league since a 12-match run in 2004.

10 – Ahead of their trip to Orlando, LA Galaxy are on a 10-game unbeaten run away from home – their last away win came on August 20 against Colorado.

13 – Sporting Kansas City haven’t lost at home to Colorado in 13 years – Sporting have won eight and drawn four of 12 home games against the Rapids.

14 – Colorado Rapids are 14^th in the Supporters’ Shield race, above six Eastern Conference sides, despite sitting bottom of the Western Conference.

17 – Clint Dempsey’s seven goals have come from just 17 shots this season – joint leading goal-scorer Kei Kamara has had 41.

36 – Since the start of 2014, Bradey Wright-Phillips has scored 36 MLS goals, nine more than any other player.
