1) Montreal make history
Frank Klopas' side made history last night as they became the first Canadian side to make the tournament final with an away goals win over Costa Rican outfit Alajuelense.
Goals from Jack McInerney and Andres Romero were enough to sneak through despite a thrilling finale which saw Alajuelense score twice in the final 15 minutes and almost sneak through!
They might be without a win in MLS but Montreal are having a huge Impact on the CONCACAF Champions League- roll on the final!
2) Vancouver connect four
In a great week for Canadian football, Vancouver Whitecaps made it four straight MLS wins with a comfortable 2-0 victory over LA Galaxy.
Close-season signing Octavio Rivero struck again and now has 4 goals in his first 5 games for the club, who finally look to have resolved their troubles in attack.
The Whitecaps face Columbus Crew tonight as they look to extend their club-record winning streak to 5 games and cement their place at the top of the Western Conference.
3) The late late show
Most might associate the late late show with new host James Corden but MLS is producing quality entertainment in its own right, and is developing a penchant for drama in the dying embers.
Sporting Kansas City stole the headlines this week, scoring twice in added time to be Philadelphia Union but DC United also struck in stoppage time to beat Orlando City.
Luis Silva's strike was DC's second straight added-time winner after Chris Pontius' 93rd minute header against LA Galaxy- it is never over until it's over.

1) Rapids match record MLS winless streak
It’s not been a season to remember for Colorado so far, but their problems actually extend much further than that having now equalled MLS’ winless run.
Rapids’ 18-match streak draws them level with Real Salt Lake’s dismal form in 2004/05 and they will again be looking to end that run against FC Dallas this weekend.

To make matters worse, their 10 hours without a goal has also seen the franchise suffer the league’s fourth longest drought in front of goal - not the easiest time to be a Rapids fan!
2) Ribeiro
set for the sidelines
For an Orlando City side struggling for goals, losing a striker that has
scored one and assisted another in just four league games is not ideal.
But for the next two to three months the franchise will be without Pedro
Ribeiro who tore his hamstring in the 1-0 defeat to DC United.
There was positive news regarding fellow striker Martin Paterson
however, as the former Burnley man returned to light training following his own
injury problems.

3) Kick Phili while they’re down
The Sporting Kansas City versus Philadelphia Union encounter was probably the game of the season so far – but not if you were connected to Phili.
The winless Union were once again undone by poor set piece defending, conceding all three goals from dead ball situations as they fell to another late collapse.
After a third straight defeat, dejected winger Sebastien Le Toux summed it up simply by saying: “It’s just the same story for us.”
