Nemeth scored the winner

Krisztian Nemeth snatched the winner as Sporting Kansas City scored twice in stoppage time to beat Philadelphia Union 3-2.

Union led twice but couldn’t claim a first win of the season as Jalil Anibaba equalised in the 91^st minute before Nemeth struck in a breathtaking finish.

Fernando Aristeguieta had put Philadelphia 2-1 up after Dom Dwyer’s first of the season cancelled out Jacob Peterson’s third minute own goal.

FC Dallas’s unbeaten start ended as a 3-1 defeat at Portland Timbers saw them slip off top spot in the Western Conference.

Vancouver Whitecaps now lead the race for the Supporters’ Shield after a comfortable 2-0 win against the MLS Cup holders LA Galaxy.

Kekuta Manneh’s low-strike opened the scoring and Octavio Rivero tapped in his fourth goal in five games for Vancouver, who have won four in a row.

Real Salt Lake’s Javier Morales unleashed a 20-yard thunderbolt to earn a 1-0 victory over San Jose Earthquakes and extend their unbeaten start.
