MLS Stat Attack: Week Six

Vancouver kicked off MLS Week Six by extending their lead in the race for the Supporters' Shield to three points, thanks to a hard fought 2-2 draw with Columbus Crew.

Here are the rest of the numbers you need to know ahead of the weekend's action...

Perez celebrates scoring vs San Jose

0-New York Red Bulls and Real Salt Lake are the only two sides who have not lost this year.

1-Dom Dwyer scored 22 goals last season and finally got off the mark this time around in Sporting Kansas City’s dramatic 3-2 victory last weekend.

2- Blas Perez and Octavio Rivero have both scored two game winning goals this season.

3-Three sides are yet to win this season; Montreal Impact and Philadelphia Union in the Eastern Conference and Colorado Rapids in the Western Conference.

4- Colorado Rapids 600 minute goal drought is the fourth longest in MLS history.

9- Goalkeeper Rais M’Bolhi’s Philadelphia Union career seems to be over after just nine games after head coach Jim Curtin decided he should not train with the squad.

12- New England Revolution’s 2-0 win away at Colorado Rapids was their first there in 12 games, since a 2-1 win in June 2002.

13- Sebastian Giovinco has had more shots from outside the penalty box than any other player this season – he hasn’t scored from any of them.

17- Philadelphia Union have received the most yellow cards this season - in just five matches.

19- If Colorado Rapids fail to beat FC Dallas they will break the record for the longest winless streak in MLS history.

21 – Obafemi Martins and Clint Dempsey have scored 21 of Seattle Sounders’ last 32 MLS regular season goals.

28 – As well as scoring twice, Sporting Kansas City’s Ike Opara has made the most interceptions in MLS this season on his return from injury.
